First meeting of HABITRACK’s Scientific Board in Paris!
All HABITRACK’s members gathered for the first time in a meeting at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris for the Scientific Board!
We enjoyed the presence of Theunis Piersma and Rob Robinson from Global Flyway and EURING, as well as Mark Eaton from the EBCC by video, to get their feedback and advice on the project. We specifically presented how we integrate European data on ringing recoveries & bird abundances with tracking data into our modelling framework and pave the way for more collaborations.
It was also the opportunity for our group to talk about the past field season, prepare for the next one, and discuss the first analyses, particularly for the six PhD students & postdoctoral researchers of the project! We welcomed Lise Bartholus and Valeria Valanne, who will start their PhD at the MNHN and Helsinki University, respectively!
